Good point on the digital vibrance - if saturation is all OP and anyone else wants to boost a little, then that is the most efficient way - but it is system-wide so you have to turn it off again. After the installation of ReShade you will be able to customize the following graphical features of your games: MSAA antialiasing, screen space ambient occlusion, depth of field effects, chromatic aberration, dynamic film grain, automatic saturation and color correction, cross. I only got about 2-5fps drop which was OK for me. ReShade is an open-source tool that can help you do exactly that. Then again, changing digital vibrance in the GPU control panel doesn't have any impact on performance. I found it to be more of a performance hit than Reshade ever was. If you start to add effects the performance hit gets worse as well. Even if all you do with it is adjust vibrance, it still does that. Problem with FreeStyle is that it sucks up about 8-12fps by just enabling it. Somebody pointed out yesterday that Freestyle is at the GPU-level and therefore probably can't be used as easily to inject cheats, which apparently Reshade can (the zoom thing). PUBG and Nvidia are partnered so I think it would be unlikely that they would create features that they would subsequently ban for. If you decide that ReShade simply isn't sustainable with your rig or is causing too many problems with your games, you can uninstall it.

The biggest issue is the performance hit your PC will take, as ReShade can add quite a bit of strain to your GPU. It's GREAT for cinematic replays if you like making that kind of thing - the depth of field effects make for some lovely shots. However, using ReShade does have a few drawbacks. I've used it in game for saturation tweaks with no problems. Originally posted by uwak:Can I use NVIDIA Freestyle as an alternative for reshade?
